I’m intrigued by imperfection, silhouette, shadow, odd shape and poetic juxtaposition in nature and urban settings. Capturing the drama and intensity of light and colour wrought by sky, sun and water is a particular pleasure, which perhaps explains my love of the Orkney islands, where I spend a large part of each summer.
